I may not pass this way again

I may not pass this way again, so let me take the most I can
I may not pass this way again, since my paths don't cross back

I may not pass this way again, I have said goodbye so many times before
I may not pass this way again, I'm  too far gone

I may not pass this way again, since doors that shut cannot be reopened
I may not pass this way again, since going ahead seems the best

I may not pass this way again, as I no longer need from the past
I may not pass this way again, since the present holds better delight

I would not want to pass this way again, since wounds healed may break open
I would not want to pass this way again, since memories have a way of sneaking back

Never to pass this way again, except in dim twilight, in the midst of waking and sleeping
Never to pass this way again, unless all strength of will is hopelessly lost
Never to pass this way again, because what's gone's gone

I may never pass this way again, the roads are oblivion
