VOCABULOROMANIA

Being Vocabulary challenged for me is like being blind in the dark! I always thought that I had a good enough vocab and I took pride in rattling off big words just to show off! I just love the expression on people's faces when I use big words , they look like as if the top of their head's have come off..and they just want to go have a nice cool drink...somewhere safe- from me.

But today's editing test was like an eye opener (actually it was more of an entire brain, mind, and body opener)I felt like an utter fool when I cudnt substitute surprised for a better word or for that matter personality. But what mortified me the most was that all I cud think of while trying to substitute hungry was - Bhuk (it's hindi equivalent)..daamn..daamn and damn!

Looks like I'll need that ABC and Grammar made easy for the junior's book after all. Though this is not to say that I quit...not by a long chance.
